Puzzle Box

During the heart of the pandemic in 2021, I ran the Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition adventure The Hidden Shrine of Tamoachan almost entirely online using the Roll20 platform. For our last session, we were able to meet in person, so I constructed a paper mockup of the puzzle box the adventurers were trying to find. Players were able to interact with it as if it were a real object. 

 

I had added this macguffin to the adventure as a plot hook, using images found on the internet for a Mayan (i.e. Olman) puzzle box. I then devised and constructed my version to look similar, but with a unique arrangement of puzzles.
